The One Thing

Meet Tyler

Tyler is a bright, kind, and incredibly creative boy who lights up every room he's in. He loves playing Super Mario, building epic worlds in Minecraft, putting together LEGO sets, and dreaming up his own imaginative creations. He's heading into middle school soon, full of potential and heart.

But at just 5 years old, Tyler was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy—a cruel, progressive disease that is steadily stealing his strength. What started with toe-walking and frequent falls has now become increasing pain and fading stamina. Over the past year, he’s needed his wheelchair more and more—at school, on outings, and in everyday life.

Now, every trip outside the house depends on having an accessible van with a ramp and space for his wheelchair.

Without it, Tyler’s world is shrinking.

Independence and Freedom for Tyler

His family—parents Audrey and Eric, and grandmother Karen—are doing everything they can to give him the best life possible. But the cost of a wheelchair-accessible van is overwhelming, nearing $100,000. It’s simply more than they can manage on their own.

That’s why The One Thing, along with Connor’s Fight, is stepping in to help raise funds for Tyler’s accessible van—so this sweet boy can continue going to school, visiting friends, making memories, and living life beyond the limits Duchenne is trying to impose.

Every dollar brings Tyler closer to independence and freedom.

All funds will go directly through Connor’s Fight for Tyler so it is tax deductible.

Let’s get Tyler the wheelchair-accessible van he needs!
